Corona Journal, 6 May: Day 52
9am I have been dreaming in Italian, which is nice. It’s probably all incorrect and would sound like gibberish to an actual Italian, but still.
11am Just finished teaching Italian to g-ma, and again stay online for an extra half an hour just to chat with her.
11:30am I have bleached the shower no less than nine times in the past 3 days.
12pm Go out to Sainsbury’s to buy more chocolate for decorating the cheesecake because apparently it wasn’t bad enough for me before.
1pm Decorate the cheesecake with chocolate, (Aldi own-brand) Oreos and caramel buttons. It looks like diabetes* in a bowl.

*type 2
3pm In anticipation of aforementioned cheesecake, suggest to boyfriend that we run intervals in the park. Is surprisingly enjoyable, although I am shocked to find at the end that we only ran just over 2 miles which is perhaps why it was more fun than harrowing.
6pm First Italian lesson with lovely friends who want to learn Italian in lockdown! Boyfriend joins in and we drink Aperol while teaching/studying as it is scientifically* proven to improve your Italian.
*By scientifically I of course mean anecdotally, and by anecdotally I mean that when I lived in Italy I thought my Italian was better when I was drunk.
8pm Virtual book club is a real laugh as always. I am a bit sad because this instalment of book club was supposed to be TRASH WEEK, where we all read a trashy novel and then, after discussing it over copious amounts of wine and gin, would go on a trashy night out. But in the absence of a trashy night out, this is definitely the next best thing.
10pm I settle down with a big hunk of cheesecake and my book before bed. Ommmmm. So relaxing.
10:30pm Couldn’t finish my cheesecake.
11pm Is this what a heart attack feels like, or am I high on sugar?
